PAA defines what Diversity and Inclusion means to our association.
PAA established the Diversity and Inclusion Committee in 2021. This committee works throughout the commonwealth of Pennsylvania to bring awareness, fairness and equality to the multifamily industry in state. The committee meets 4 times a year and works with many of our members and their company programs along with the NAA to promote programs that create diverse leaders.
PAA works with the NAA the Diversity Leadership Program
NAA’s Diversity Leadership Program (DLP) provides up to 15 individuals of diverse backgrounds an opportunity to develop as a leader in the rental housing industry. Participants who are considered junior to mid-level will gain leadership experience through mentoring, and training as part of the yearlong program. The program is a crucial aspect of the NAA’s leadership diversification strategy intended to identify, mentor and engage individuals from underrepresented minority groups.
