PAA Maintenance Bowl

During the Summer Breeze Shindig PAA will be hosting its own Maintenance Bowl!  Two different opportunities to compete against your fellow techs and two different ways to win!

Course Challenge
Competitors will compete individually for the best time through a course with various tasks to complete.  Competitor with the best time wins not only bragging rights but an award and $500 cash!
The tasks are what service tech’s do daily.  Use your skills and get the best time!  Many of you know with the Maintenance Mania competition you are judged on the individual times for each skill.  PAA version, your time begins at the beginning of the course challenge and your time will stop after you go through the finish line.  If a skill was done incorrectly, a judge from that challenge will throw a caution flag indicating that the task was incomplete, and the challenger must go back and correct.  Best time through the challenges wins!

• Quick-set lock challenge – replace a lock set
• Scavenger tool find – find in order tools amongst a tool bin
• Garbage Disposal Connect – Connect a garbage disposal
• Replace the fluid master in a toilet

​Maintenance Derby
This is a team challenge!  Service techs may use items from your shop only to build a car to race in the derby.  All derby cars must include a toilet seat!  The car will go down a hill with you in it or not.  The team with the best time wins CASH!  $1000!  Get into the team spirit and create a cool, funny, wacky car but don’t forget the toilet seat!  You may enter as many teams from an apartment management company as you would like.  A team may consist of one person to as many as you want to be on the team.  There is no limit, but all must contribute to building your car.  No motors for your car!  The derby will take place at the Summer Breeze Shindig! The day of the races show your team spirit and cheer your car on!  Let’s see who has the skills to design a wacky car in the very first PAA Maintenance Derby!
