Diversity & Inclusion Committee | This new committee will develop initiatives that advance diversity and inclusion within PAA as well as the multifamily industry. This will be an active committee with anticipated goals including implementing a pathway for diverse leaders within PAA. |
Education | We especially welcome anyone who works as a trainer or education director/coordinator or anyone who routinely seeks or develops educational programs for staff members, such as human resource personnel. Committee meets 3 times per year to determine education needs of PAA membership and plan educational programs and partnerships. |
GenNow | This important committee will help develop programs and events for newer professionals while fostering leadership development and involvement in the industry. The committee will meet three to four times per year by phone and in-person at the State Conference. Committee members should have less than 5 years industry experience. |
Helping Hands | This is a very active, “hands” on committee. Committee members will develop, implement, and support new and existing community programs. The committee is asked to aide in fundraising efforts at various events to put towards programs. The committee will be asked to plan and execute several legacy programs as well as new ones regionally. |
Legislative | Committee members follow legislative issues in order to recommend policies and actions for the Association, and assist in lobbying efforts where needed. The Committee makes recommendations regarding appropriate PAC expenditures. Committee members are also contacted via email for their thoughts and comments on issues as the need arises. Additionally, members are strongly encouraged to attend the annual NAA Advocate conference in March and the PAA Statewide Conference in May. The committee meets 6 times a year. |
Maintenance Mania | The Committee will help plan the annual Maintenance Mania competition. Knowledge of maintenance protocols and access to maintenance members and vendors is helpful. Members will be asked to help secure sponsors and work the event which is scheduled for April 30 in the Harrisburg area. |
Social Media | The purpose of the social media committee is to build a team of supporters who agree to amplify the PAA message on social media networking sites. A committee of group of supporters who promises to regularly share our messages, like our updates, and post good news and links about our organization. |
Trade Show | Committee members advise and recommend improvements to the annual Trade Show & Education Conference held annually in March. They also aid in selecting a theme for the show, marketing to attendees, assist in booth sales and other various ways to help the staff develop a successful show. The committee usually meets 3-4 times a year. |
