Brad Mowbray, Sr. Vice President and Managing Director, Residential Division, High Real Estate Group
Brad Mowbray is the Senior Vice President and Managing Director for the Residential Division at High Real Estate Group. Brad is a knowledgeable and respected real estate executive with leadership over the acquisition, development, and daily operation of residential communities. Mr., Mowbray has a proven track record guiding cross-functional teams to implement and execute real estate investment strategies. Brad is talented at sourcing deals and forging new relationships with debt and equity capital partners, having transacted over $1.9B in deals. As a Senior executive, he is responsible for growing the residential real estate portfolio within a diverse conglomerate. He leads a team of 55 co-workers with an annual responsibility overseeing $48M in revenue and $4M in capital projects. Brad Mowbray is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic vision for the residential portfolio.
Mo Rushdy, Managing Partner at Riverwards Group, Co-Founder of Maven Developments
While completing his master's degree from The American University in Cairo, Egypt, Rushdy began his construction engineering career with a position as a Planning Engineer on the construction of the first-ever cement plant in Sinai, Egypt. He then moved to Kuwait for two years, where he served as the planning and project controls Engineer for the construction of Kuwait’s first Olympic stadium.
Rushdy moved to the United States in 2004. He worked with Toll Brothers as a Sr Project manager in its largest urban project at the time; Naval Square.
In early 2007, Rushdy was recruited by a regional developer, Westrum Development Company, as General Manager to launch, contract and hire a team for Philadelphia’s largest active adult community: The Arbors at Eagle Pointe, consisting of approximately 400 homes.
In late 2008, as the financial crisis unfolded, Rushdy teamed up with Larry McKnight, a colleague from Westrum, to start developing single lot infills in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood. Their investments in the area have contributed to the revival of the city’s Riverwards neighborhoods - Kensington, Fishtown & Port Richmond.
Now nearly 12 years later, what started as five homes per year in 2012 has grown to hundreds of homes under construction of mostly naturally occurring affordable housing.
The Riverwards Group, where Rushdy serves as Managing Partner, has completed more than 60 projects in Philadelphia’s booming riverwards neighborhoods, totaling over 700 homes. Currently The Riverwards Group is building 610 units with another 510 in its pipeline to start in 2026.
In 2017, The Riverwards Group was named to Philadelphia magazine’s list of the “next wave of Philadelphia developers,” which highlighted nine developers remaking the city’s neighborhoods in big ways. In addition to Philadelphia magazine, the company and Rushdy were featured in articles in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Business Journal, Curbed Philly and Spirit News.
In 2018, Mo was recognized by The Philadelphia Business Journal as one of 40 business leaders under the age of 40 with major accomplishments in the Development industry.
Mo is on the board of the Philadelphia Building Industry Association, formerly served as its President. The BIA has over 420 member companies.
Mo also is on the board and the Chairman of the Philadelphia Accelerator Fund. A non-profit fund promoting affordable housing financing tools for primarily black and brown developers.
Mo also is on the board and the Chairman of the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation.
Mo is the Chairman of the Mayor's construction & development roundtable and vice chaired the new administration's transition team for construction & development.
Mo is a strong advocate for zoning changes that allows increased density, reduced parking, incentives for development and pragmatic policies that would increase the supply of affordable housing.
Kenneth Wellar, Founding Partner, GREA
With over twenty years of experience in the multi-family housing industry, I specialize in the purchase, sale and financing of multi-family housing investments. In this role, I bring my clients first-hand experience in many aspects of the real estate industry including brokerage services, financing, property management and development experience. Throughout my career I have brokered the sale of over 33,000 units totaling north of $4,000,000,000 in consideration.
I am very active in the real estate industry and am a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Jewish Federation Real Estate Group, as well as the Pennsylvania Apartment Association, the New Jersey Apartment Association, and the Delaware Apartment Association. I am also a member of the Urban Land Institute. I am an active member of the Building Industry Association and most recently a member of YPO.
