Artificial intelligence is showing up everywhere in multifamily, from marketing to operations to resident communication. But what many leaders overlook is that AI and DEI are directly connected. Access, bias, literacy, and inclusion all shape how these tools impact our teams and communities. A 2024 Accenture study found that 95% of executives believe democratizing access to AI is critical for success, underscoring the need to make sure these tools are not limited to a few but available in ways that benefit everyone. This session will unpack that connection, showing how managers can use AI not only to improve efficiency, but also to promote fairness, empower employees, and strengthen resident trust. We’ll explore how to spot and correct bias, how to create inclusive “AI committees” that give everyone a voice in adoption, and how to build a culture of technology literacy so no one gets left behind.
