Credential Program Overview

CALP (Formerly NALP) Course Schedule

  • Bringing in New Residents (3 hours)
  • Marketing and Maintaining Your Community (2.5 hours)
  • Why Your Competition Matters ​(2.5 hours)
  • Relevant Laws and How to Apply Them (3 hours)
  • The Sales Process (3 hours)
  • Building Relationships, Effectively Meeting the Needs of Your Residents (3 hours)
  • The Market Survey (2.5 hour)

Instruction Design:   20 hours of in person class instruction typically offered over 3 consecutive days with a team of PAA professionals providing instruction.


CAM Course Schedule

  • Industry Essentials (1.5 hours)
  • Financial Management (6.5 hours)
  • Marketing (7 hours)
  • Property Maintenance (6 hours)
  • Legal Responsibilities (4 hours)
  • Risk Management (5 hours)
  • Human Resources (7 hours)
  • Resident Experience (2.5 hours)

Instruction Design:  40 hours of in person class instruction typically offered 2 consectuve days over a 3 week period with a team of PAA professionals providing instruction. 


CAMT Course Schedule

  • Electrical Maintenance and Repair (16 hours)
  • Plumbing Maintenance and Repair (16 hours)
  • Heating Maintenance and Repair (8.5 hours)
  • Air Conditioning Maintenance and Repair (15 hours)
  • Interior and Exterior Maintenance and Repair (7 hours)
  • Appliance Maintenance and Repair (10 hours)
  • A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Technician (2 hours 30 minutes)

Instruction Design:  75 hours of in person class instruction typically offered 2 consectuvie days over a 4 week period with a team of PAA professionals providing instruction.
