The DE&I Committee coordinates activities related to increasing the overall diversity of PAA’s membership, and to ensure PAA is an inclusive organization with programming to meet the needs of our diverse stakeholder community. This is a high-engaging committee, seeking members to contribute content, be comfortable with uncomfortable conversations, and looking to increase awareness and advocacy of DE&I within our member companies. |

2025 Advisory Councils
Pittsburgh, State College, Lehigh Valley, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia
Advisory councils have been set up at each of our locations in the state to help with advising the state board on items that may need to be implemented locally from an education and event standpoint. Each advisory council is made up of a set number of members who meets once a quarter in the local area. There are no elected leaders for the councils. The local advisory councils are a great way to get involved and start the process of one day becoming a PAA Board Member.
If you are interested in learning more about the Advisory Councils, please contact Ashley Porrini at aporrini@paahq.com.

PAA is pleased to announce Project HOME has been named as the Association’s official charity. Through PAA’s Helping Hands Committee, PAA will organize and hold various fundraising activities throughout the year to partner with Project HOME. All net proceeds will be donated to Project HOME. “We wanted to find a partner charity organization that had a natural synergy with PAA. As a statewide association whose members provide quality rental homes to Pennsylvania residents, finding a partner that focused on housing made sense,” stated Dan Berger, PAA President. Project HOME has worked for over 30 years to end chronic street homelessness and alleviate poverty in Philadelphia. PAA is recognized as the trusted association for rental home owners and suppliers in the multifamily industry. Project HOME is a national model for other community organizations to end the cycle of homelessness and poverty. PAA and Project HOME are excited about this new partnership and continue to explore future collaborations to help residents in Philadelphia and throughout the state.
A fund has been set up in the name, Dan Berger, (PAA 2020-2021 President and President of Berger Rental Communities) at Project HOME.
Let's keep paying it forward...
