The struggle to find, train and retain maintenance team members is real across all industries, not just for rental housing. Moreover, this universal struggle is not going away anytime soon. Uncover ways to address the diminishing supply of skilled workers in today’s employment climate. Lori and Chris will share case studies from their own training, apprenticeships, and outreach programs to bring onboard the next generation of rental-housing maintenance professionals.

  • Gain best practices and tips for starting your own training programs for maintenance techs

As Director of Training & Talent Development, Ms. Agudo is responsible for the oversight of all training related programs for over 700 Royal American Management employees. She has over 20 years of management experience in both retail and property management. Lori is an industry educator that teaches for several apartment associations in the State of Florida and has developed programs such as the Facilitator Training Program for the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando. Lori is currently serving as a mentor for the National Apartment Association’s Diversity Leadership Program. She also serves as an officer on the AAGO Foundation Board, and on numerous committees with the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando, Space Coast Apartment Association, Florida Apartment Association, and the Central Florida chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Ms. Agudo has a Modern Classroom Certified Trainer (MCCT) certification and Virtual Facilitator Certification through the National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI). She is also a Certified Community Manager (CAM).

REGISTRATION POLICY:

Only PAA members in good standing will receive the published PAA member rate.  The non-member rates will be applied to all registrations that do not include a PAA membership.  All membership status questions should be directed to membership@paahq.com.

Once a member has registered for an education event, members can pay their invoices via credit card on their account at www.paahq.com  or request an invoice to be emailed for payment.  All invoices must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date unless the 30-day mark falls on or after the date of the education event; in those cases, payment should be made the day prior to the education event.
