The Pennsylvania Apartment Association (PAA), a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association, is committed to full compliance with federal and state antitrust laws. PAA activities often involve competitors, suppliers, and customers, making it essential to avoid discussions or actions that could violate these laws.

Prohibited Conduct:

• Price fixing or discussing pricing elements (e.g., credit terms)
• Market/customer allocation
• Group boycotts or bid rigging
• Wage fixing or hiring agreements
• Any conduct that may appear to restrain trade

Guidelines for Compliance:

• Avoid discussing competitive strategies, pricing, wages, or supplier/customer negotiations with competitors.
• Do not agree on uniform terms, divide markets, or discourage competition.
• Do not act on behalf of PAA unless authorized.
• Use agendas and meeting summaries to document discussions.
• Report any antitrust concerns to PAA leadership immediately.
