Monica Frazier, hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, serves as the General Manager at Midwood Investment & Development, bringing over a decade of experience in residential and commercial management across multiple states. As the founder of Melanin In Multifamily, she fosters a sense of community and empowers Black Women professionals in the multifamily sector. Monica's dedication to the industry is further demonstrated through her active involvement in the National Apartment Association. Recognized as an Excellence Award nominee in both 2022 and 2023, as well as graduate of the NAA 2023 Leadership Lyceum Class, Monica also leads the charge as a committee chair for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of her state apartment association. Her outstanding contributions were celebrated with the PAA's 2023 Property Manager of the Year Award and winner of the NAA IDEI Grant in 2023. Monica's expertise lies in training, employee development, and operational excellence.

Embarking on a multifaceted journey that began with leasing student and luxury housing in 1999, my career in the multifamily industry has been nothing short of extraordinary. From swiftly rising to assistant manager in a challenging property to assuming the role of manager for 288 tax credit units at the age of 20, I've navigated diverse challenges with resilience and determination. By the age of 22, I was privileged to be promoted to a Junior Regional role, overseeing 488 units.

 My trajectory further led me to manage full renovations and orchestrate the lease-up of 1187 units in Los Angeles—a testament to my ability to excel in high-stakes environments. Transitioning into the realm of marketing, I lent my expertise to renowned platforms such as For Rent, Apartments.com, and Zumper, broadening my industry impact.

 In 2010, I ventured into staffing, specializing in temp and temp-to-hire placements, leveraging my multifamily insights to build high-performing teams. This journey reached a new milestone on February 1, 2023, with the establishment of CTH Recruiting, a Multifamily-focused recruiting agency.

Gratitude permeates every step of this incredible journey, and as I reflect on the past 25 years, I am fueled with excitement for this next chapter. I look forward to continued growth, innovation, and making a lasting impact on the multifamily landscape in the next 25 years and beyond.

My name is Kate Powers and I am the Operations Trainer for Berger Communities. Previously, I worked in the service industry as well as in healthcare. As most people do, I fell into Property Management unexpectedly back in 2016 and have been in the industry ever since. I began my journey as a leasing professional and worked my way up through various levels of Management. Almost 9 years later, I’m so happy to be in my Training role, where I truly feel my calling is. My mission now is to assist Teams in elevating overall performance through high quality, intentional training. I love supporting both personal and professional growth of Team Members through empowerment, innovation, and accountability. In my personal life, I’m an avid outdoors person and fill my cup by spending quality time with Family including my two beautiful children, and my wonderful Husband.

Jayme blends her diverse strategic, entrepreneurial, and data analytics expertise with her passion for accelerating our NextGen path to bold, self-leadership. As a visionary with a track record of successfully implementing ideas to create and capture value in fragmented industries, Jayme is a frequent speaker on leadership and entrepreneurship. Prior to starting Consequential Flowers, Jayme co-founded SilverLine Athletics – a consumer data analytics company. She also served as Chief Strategy Officer for CenterSquare, a BNY Mellon Investment Management company, and was an investment analyst at General Motors Asset Management. She is a member of The Critical Thinking Institute's Advisory Board, served on the External Advisory Board of Penn State Schreyer Honors College, and volunteers for Why Not Prosper 501c3.

Ishea Shepherd, Executive Vice President, AMC Delancey Group

Ishea loves to lead and build teams and has been a manager in several industries including construction and hospitality. She is currently Executive Vice President at AMC Delancey Group, overseeing the effective management of over 55 scattered- site properties including leasing, maintenance, capital improvements and property management teams. She was recognized as the 2023 Emerging Leader of the year by the National Apartment Association and strives to empower managers to lead with joy and authenticity. Ishea is passionate about leadership, operations and creating inclusive spaces. She creates content and leads discussions to empower managers to become effective and successful leaders.

She is a 2021 Graduate of the National Apartment Association Diversity Leadership Program and a 2023 Leadership Lyceum Graduate. Ishea is a licensed real estate salesperson in Pennsylvania and is a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor through the National Council for Mental Well Being.  She serves on three National Committees, including serving as Vice Chair for the RPM Careers Committee. She is a member of NAAEI Faculty and loves educating the next generation of leaders in the multifamily industry.

Steve provides a full range of legal services to help his clients avoid and resolve legal problems and maximize the success of their businesses. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate, landlord and tenant law, condominium and homeowner law, employment law, construction, and business and corporate law. A large portion of Steve’s practice is devoted to helping clients resolve real estate disputes, including landlord and tenant matters, fair housing issues, sale-purchase issues, and licensing matters.

Steve is a frequent speaker and lecturer on topics such as landlord and tenant law, real estate issues, employment issues, the impact of social media on individuals and businesses, and other miscellaneous business issues. Steve is a PA Real Estate Commission-approved continuing education provider for real estate licensees, and has taught courses as part of the National Apartment Association’s Certified Apartment Manager designation.
