  • All Toss for the Cause cornhole tournament registration funds will be donated to Family Resources, the official charity of the Western Regional Advisory Council.

What is PAA Rock the River and Toss for the Cause: PAA's Rock the River is a fun summer party to show our appreciation for you as members.  PAA will provide the summer's hottest rental housing networking event.  The event will feature the Toss for the Cause (For Family Resources) where two person teams will compete in a series of games to determine who is the winner! Get ready for food, music, a cornhole tournament, photo booths, and more!  This is one summer celebration you do not want to miss!  

  • Food stations will be featured throughout the event
  • Drink stations will include beer and seltzers, and carbonated beverages and water.
  • Toss for the Cause will begin at 4:30pm

PAA will host a RAFFLE for our PAA Western Regional Advisory Council Charity, Family Resources.

Please bring cash or card with you to this event, so we are able to help raise funds for this amazing charity.

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Registration OPEN Check-in with the PAA to get your drink tickets and a map of Rock the River.  Don't miss the start of the Toss for the Cause Cornhole Tournament at 4:30pm!
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM Toss for the Cause Cornhole Tournament Competition The Toss for the Cause Cornhole Tornament Competition will start at 4:30pm.  Watch and cheer on your favorite teams as the compete for the Cornhole Championship!
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM Relax, Celebrate, and Chill Celebrate our competitors and enjoy music, drinks, food, and the river view!

Toss for the Cause Cornhole Tournament Details:

1. Teams & Setup

• Teams of 2 players (doubles).

• Each team has 4 bags.

• Boards are placed about 27 feet apart (you can shorten if needed). 

2. How to Play

• Players stand next to their board and throw underhand.

• Teams alternate throws (one bag at a time).

• Each player throws all 4 bags per round

3. Scoring

• Bag in the hole = 3 points

• Bag on the board = 1 point

• Bag off the board = 0 points 

Simple scoring rule:

• After each round, subtract the lower score from the higher score.

• Only one team earns points each round. 

4. Game Length

• First team to reach 21 points wins

5. Turn Order

• Flip a coin (or rock-paper-scissors) to start.

• Team that scores goes first in the next round

6. Basic Rules

• Stay behind the front of the board when throwing.

• Each player must throw from their side.

• Bags that hit the ground first do not count

7. Tournament Style 

• Use single elimination (lose once, you’re out) for simplicity.

• Or double elimination if you want everyone to play more games.
