Round Table Discussion Topics:

Goals & Roles in Multifamily

  • Envisioning multifamily career path and understanding the roles you can advance into. 
  • How are roles changing in the technological environment
  • What type of goals can you set to move in the direction you aspire to achieve.  
  • How to succeed in your career path in multifamily and understand the training available to you through your company, the associations, social media groups, blogs & webinars, and continuing education through adult learning.

 Navigating Change: Analyzing Recent University Announcements

  • Explore how the university decisions related to enrollment, infrastructure development, housing policy, and academic programs may influence demand for multifamily housing, investment opportunities, and community development.

Retaining your Team: Centralization and AI and Outsourcing, Oh My!   

  • Team retention can be difficult, especially in this ever-changing environment.  How are you motivating your team to stay? 
  • Have the roles within your company shifted because of technology and the outsourcing of tasks? 

Recruiting is Everybody's Role!   

  • Recruiting has been difficult.  How are you getting your entire team involved in the recruitment process? 
  • What efforts have you been taking to find qualified and motivated people to join your team?  

Building Stronger Supplier Partnerships

  • Understanding and addressing key needs for sustainable collaboration. Discussion can be based on Communication strategies, expectations management, technology integration, and risk sharing.

Resident Retention: Why Should They Stay with You?            

  • Competition is tough and residents are demanding. What have you been doing to retain the residents in your community? This can be anything from great communication and respect to community events, follow-up, and maintenance. 

 Open Mic: What Topics Would you Like to Introduce for Discussion? 

  • As spring approaches are there topics you feel we should discuss as a group.

A: Property Managers and Assistant Managers
Q: What is a PAA Round Table Discussion?
A: The PAA Round Table Discussion is a gathering of property management professionals who brainstorm and discuss selected topics that are prominent in the multifamily industry.  Members are able to express ideas and ask questions of their industry colleagues.
Q: What is the PAA Round Table Format?
A: The PAA will have 6 tables set with a moderator. 8-10 people will start at one table and talk about the subject for a 15 minute period, rotating to the next table/topic and so forth.
