Start the Season of Giving off right with the PAA Helping Hands Committee! PAA has partnered with Move for Hunger in 2021 to collect food and supplies for Project Home and local food banks as we give back to communities across the state.
The PAA Food Drive will kick off on October 21st, 2021 and continue through November 4th, 2021.
Move for Hunger is a national non-profit organization that has created a sustainable way to reduce food waste and fight hunger. They have mobilized the leaders of moving, relocation, and multi-family industries to provide their customers, clients, and residents with the opportunity to donate their food when they move. Members of Move For Hunger also organize community food drives, participate in awareness campaigns, and create employee engagement programs.
The mission of the Project HOME community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization.
*Please bring canned goods or non-perishable items and other supplies to the to the PAA Trade Show & Education Conference on October 21st, 2021 to help us kick-off the Food Drive!
