Failure to work with disabled residents to provide accommodations or modifications has ranked number one for Fair Housing complaints for more than ten years. This session is a deep dive into the complexities of the ADA and FHA in regard to working with the disabled.

Angel started her career with National Community Renaissance in 1996 as a Community Manager and is now their Director of Learning and Development. She is also the owner of STAR (Specialized Training by Angel Rogers) which provides insight and training to the rental housing industry. Angel has been developing and delivering training programs with an emphasis on fair housing, operations, customer care, and affordability compliance for more than 20 years. Angel teaches CAM and CALP for numerous apartment associations throughout the country, has been a featured speaker at industry conferences including Apartmentalize, has taught at several community colleges, and created a Property Management Certification Program with Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. CORE Academy is now offered to the community at large with an emphasis on workforce development to vulnerable populations. Angel was recently invited to speak at a local municipality about the importance of Fair Housing in their city and for First Time Home Buyers.
Angel is the proud mom of an Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy and lives in the Inland Empire with her husband of 34 years and a very spoiled rescue dog named Dolly Parton.
