THE OVERVIEW:

The PAA works with over 300 Management Companies, with over 2800 Properties and represents 304,000 thousand units in the state. In addition, the PAA works with over 400 Supplier Partners members who service the multifamily industry. The PAA is a Top Ten Affiliate with the National Apartment Association and received the Affiliate of the Year Award in 2024-2025.

• PAA has a Government Affairs department with lobbyists working at the state level, and local communities along with the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia metro areas. We conduct owner/executive calls to keep our members up to date on legislative issues. #2 THE EDUCATION:

• PAA offers an extensive course catalog with education tracks for leasing, maintenance, and operations.  NAA/PAA offers credential courses that are recognized nationally, allowing for Management Companies to educate their site teams through our association.  There are also online webinars available for team members to view.  Review the Education Tab for all of our courses, pricing, real estate licensure information, and more!

#3 THE NETWORKING:

• PAA offers several networking events to allow members the ability to share thoughts, ideas, and services with one another.  PAA hosts two trade shows annually each March in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.  The event is known as APARTogether EXPO, hosting two days of networking opportunities including a business exchange, and networking happy hour.  In addition to the APARTogether Trade Show we also host a statewide awards program, golf outings, charity events, and so much more! Don't forget to check out the Events Tab from our home page for a listing of our Signature, Regional, and Charitable Events.

• The PAA has established Regional Advisory Councils in five parts of the state for industry professionals to design programs that are need in the local markets. #6 THE NATIONAL SUPPORT:

• When you become a member of the PAA, you are also a member of the NAA.  The annual rate to become a PAA/NAA member is $2.35 per unit and a $450 Management Company Member Fee.  This includes both memberships and the legislative support at the PAA to protect our industry.

• NAA offers the Click and Lease Program.  This exceptional Lease Program allows for lease generation and data storage application for leases to be updated and legally reviewed by state to stay current with commonwealth mandates and housing laws.  You must be a member of the PAA to take part in this program.
